Explorers on the Moon

The image on the jigsaw pieces is a depiction of a scene from the comic “The Adventures of Tintin”.

Tintin, accompanied by his friend Captain Haddock and his dog Snowy, is walking on the surface of the moon. They are all wearing orange spacesuits and look at a tank-like space vehicle. A space rocket can be seen to the left.
The Earth can be seen above them in the sky.

The box features a depiction of the same scene. Inside the lid, there is text in French and Dutch indicating that the jigsaw is a gift from various confectionery manufacturers. (As French and Dutch are the languages spoken in Belgium, and Tintin was created by the Belgian cartoonist Hergé, the jigsaw is probably from there.)

The image is based on the story “Explorers on the Moon” (1954) in which Tintin and his friends travel to the moon in a rocket.
